Let's take ownership of our health and craft a life that truly aligns with who we are.
Speaker A:At the start of this year, I wrote a blog about playfulness, about living life in a playful way and really incorporating a playful attitude in yourself.
Speaker A:Like if you're inviting your inner child to join your life and to really live your life from the perspective of that inner child.
Speaker A:Early on in life, we learn to behave as a grown up, to be serious about life and to fulfill duties.
Speaker A:Yes, to really have this serious approach about life.
Speaker A:And even so serious that in our free time we neither really play.
Speaker A:We also go very grown up and serious.
Speaker A:When was the last time that you danced over the streets that you sung just because it rose up in you?
Speaker A:When did you last feel that bubble of laughter rise from within?
Speaker A:And when exactly was this moment that you forgot about this, that you forgot about being playful and became serious?
Speaker A:Now what I ask myself, is life really meant to be this serious?
Speaker A:Are we not allowed to play?
Speaker A:Because it also, it almost feels like we are not allowed to play, that we have to be normal and behave.
Speaker A:But actually, when you dance over the street, often people actually smile at it and you see that you've sparked something in them.
Speaker A:And then how would we feel if we allowed ourselves to play again?
Speaker A:How would that change our lives?
Speaker A:But especially, how would it change our moods?
Speaker A:How would it affect us?
Speaker A:And in which ways would it affect us?
Speaker A:Would it affect our behavior in general?
Speaker A:Would it affect the way we think, the way we feel?
Speaker A:Yes, obviously the way we feel.
Speaker A:And if we would feel more playful, would that not also mean that we would feel lighter and that it would have this effect, that life would be lighter, that we would experience it in an easier way, that there would be more flow and ease and less stress and tension, often tension in the mind as well.
Speaker A:Thinking in problems, thinking in impossibilities.
Speaker A:Since I made it my theme for this year, I'm quite focused on it.
Speaker A:And now what I find time and again is that I lose this mode of playfulness, the attitude of being playful, the lightness of thinking and that light feeling inside it dissipates every time.
Speaker A:And that it takes me a while before I realize it.
Speaker A:And then to get it back again, to get back in that mode of playfulness.
Speaker A:And every time what's blocking is the underlying belief that I have to be serious, that I have to do this, that I'm responsible for that I have to make this happen.
Speaker A:I must work hard.
Speaker A:Even though I've spent 10 years transforming all these beliefs, they are still there.
Speaker A:They are in my mind.
Speaker A:They are in the collective human consciousness.
Speaker A:And we pick up on that as well, whether we want it or not.
Speaker A:And all these underlying patterns actually influence us.
Speaker A:And then every time that light, playful feeling just disappears and you are back in the business of being serious.
Speaker A:And that inspired me actually to rethink the concept of living playful even more.
Speaker A:Is there anything at all that we should be serious about?
Speaker A:Should we serious about work?
Speaker A:Can we make that in a playful way?
Speaker A:Can the work that we do, can we really do that from an intention of, I am now going to play and this is fun and I'm gonna have some fun with it?
Speaker A:Would that not be a very normal attitude instead of a yeah, right, the job needs to be done and there is work and we need to work hard and it needs to be finished by then and then, which sometimes is true and sometimes is not.
Speaker A:And even when it's true, then there is a different approach to it.
Speaker A:You can do it like it has.
Speaker A:You have this deadline and it must be finished.
Speaker A:So you set to work, or you say, I know when it has to be done and I want to have it finished by then.
Speaker A:And then you can tune inside for a moment and search for that feeling of playfulness and say, this is fun.
Speaker A:I'm gonna make sure that it's done before then.
Speaker A:And then it's all attitude, isn't it?
Speaker A:And it sounds maybe weird, like, why would you do that?
Speaker A:Because it makes life so much lighter and so much more fun.
Speaker A:And when we have fun in life, when life is joyful, then everything goes with so much more flow and ease and you actually attract opportunities to you that you otherwise would not have that are in alignment with the vibration, with the frequency that you embody at that moment, with the frequency of living playful, frequency of playfulness.
Speaker A:And now for a moment, imagine what kind of opportunities you could attract with that vibe, as opposed to the work hard, be serious vibe.
Speaker A:What would that attract?
Speaker A:We can think in money terms as well.
Speaker A:What kind of opportunities would you attract with the attitude of playfulness regarding money?
Speaker A:I think it would attract a lot more abundance.
Speaker A:And that would be fun, right?
Speaker A:And speaking of abundance, abundance can come in so many forms.
Speaker A:I also think that living in a more playful way has a very positive effect on our health because our attitude becomes lighter, so our thoughts become lighter and our feelings, so the whole body can become lighter.
Speaker A:And what we do then, when we take tension out of the body and out of the mind, then we give space to the healing system of the body and so the body gets a chance to restore to its natural state so it can actually affect our physical well being.
Speaker A:So this is all very interesting, right?
Speaker A:And now I'm very curious to learn how you feel about playfulness and living in a playful way.
Speaker A:And I'm very curious if you are going to incorporate more playfulness in your life and how you're going to do that.
Speaker A:So please share.
